| Plants are supplied direct to site for planting into coir logs, rolls, square logs, planting beds, erosion control blankets and provide biodegradable environmentally friendly protection of the banks or shorelines of waterways, ponds, lakes and reservoirs (or dry slopes) preventing scouring by current or wave action and facilitating the build up of protective silt and vegetation. They are also used to establish reed zones and for stabilization of moorland slopes and sand dunes. This combination of plants and coir fibre erosion control products help to prevent soil erosion and build natural habitat for flora and fauna. | ||

Installation |
||
Aquatic plants may be planted in coir logs, rolls, square logs, planting beds or erosion control blankets, in situ. Prior to planting, the coir fibre products should be secured against banks or shorelines, usually with untreated chestnut timber stakes or pins. A range of plants, stakes, pins, faggots, brushwood bundles and pales (wired and unwired) can be used in combination with planting. Comprehensive installation guidance is available upon request.
