BonTerra Weed Suppressant

BonTerra KMWP Composite Mulch Blanket is manufactured from a matrix of 100 per cent untreated mattress grade coir fibre (approximately 600g/sqm) evenly distributed between an upper photodegradable Polypropylene (PP) or biodegradable Jute mesh. The blanked is stitched with either a synthetic or biodegradable mesh. The blanket is backed with a single layer of light resistant, photodegradable black Polyethylane. The KMWP is available in rolls and spats of various dimensions.

The BonTerra KMWP Mulch Blanket is an effective weed suppressant for use around new planting of hedges, shrubs or trees.
Durability
3 – 5 years - depending on the prevailing conditions, including the site location, temperature, moisture availability and the soil acidity.

General

Technical data are available upon request. This product can be manufactured to specification to include photodegradable or biodegradable meshes and stitching and also alternative coir fibre weights.
 

Installation
 

BonTerra KMWP Mulch Blanket should be securely pinned to the ground with 200 or 300mm mild steel pins, at a rate of 4 pins per square metre, to ensure light resistant, close ground contact. Prior to installation, to achieve a fairly even surface and close ground contact, the planting the area should be cleared of weeds and objects such as large stones.
