BonTerra Planting Bed
BonTerra Planting Bed is manufactured from a matrix of 100 per cent untreated, loose, mattress grade coir fibre (approximately 300 grams per square metre) evenly distributed within a 400 grams per square metre coir mesh.
Planting Bed Blanket		Recommended Application
		The Planting Bed is a suitable medium for planting aquatic or marginal plants on boggy ground or on the periphery of ponds, lakes, river and canal banks. The Planting Bed provides long term soil protection by supporting planned protective vegetation and helps to establish natural flora and fauna habitat. To avoid root damage during transportation, planting would usually take place in situ.
		Durability
		3 – 5 years - depending on the prevailing conditions, including the location, temperature, moisture availability and the soil acidity.

Planting Bed Blanket		Weight
		Material dry weights range from 1700g/sqm to 1800g/sqm. The standard mattress size is 1 x 5m x 80mm thick, supplied in bales, each containing 10 Planting Beds.
		General
		This product can be used in conjunction with coir rolls and coir fibre erosion control blankets. Technical data are available upon request.
		Installation
		BonTerra Planting Bed should be securely pinned with 300mm mild steel pins, at a rate of 5 pins per square metre ensuring one hundred per cent ground contact. Prior to installation, the planting area should be sufficiently prepared to allow the Planting Bed complete ground contact. The planting density is usually in the region of 18 plants per square metre. Comprehensive installation guidance is available upon request.
